KY Rally for Higher Education
On Monday, February 13, SGA will be taking EKU students to join fellow Kentucky College Students from WKU, NKU, UK, U of L, Morehead St., Kentucky State, Murray St, and KCTCS at our state capitol in Frankfort for the Rally for Higher Education. The rally is being hosted by the KY Board of Student Body Presidents. SGA will be providing transportation. Attendance verification will be provided in Frankfort. SGA will leave campus around 9:00 am and return following the conclusion of the rally. Return arrival to EKU is expected around 4:30 p.m. The actual rally will take place from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Capitol Rotunda. Prior to the rally, there will be opportunities to meet Kentucky legislators and tour the Capitol. Students or student orgs interested in attending may contact Collin Potter. Ultimately, this rally is focused on the future of higher education funding in Kentucky.
