Guest Lecture - Hopeless but Optimistic: Journeying through America’s Endless War in Afghanistan

  
On March 2nd, EKU will host a special guest lecture from Mr. Douglas Wissing. Mr. Wissing is an award-winning journalist, author, and independent scholar who will speak about his experiences embedded with U.S. military forces in Afghanistan. These experiences were detailed in his book Hopeless but Optimistic: Journeying through America’s Endless War in Afghanistan. Refreshments will be provided to all attendees. This event is open and free to all EKU students, faculty, and staff.

This event is sponsored by the EKU Department of Government and Economics, the Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center at Indiana University, the EKU-led BGS IC CAE, and the EKU Asian Studies Program.
