Earth Day Service Projects- Eastern Kentucky
Two great service projects, one fabulous weekend—sign up for one or BOTH!
FRIDAY ONLY: Stream Sampling Assessment Monitoring Project—vans and carpools will depart at 11:30 a.m. and return by 10:00 p.m. We will join community members to gather water quality samples at as many sites as we can in the Line Fork of Letcher County. Dinner included for just $5.00.
SATURDAY ONLY: Robinson Forest Reforestation Project—vans and carpools will depart at 7:30 a.m. and return by 10:00 p.m. We will join Green Forest Works and Appalachian writers to plant trees on a mine reclamation site in Breathitt County (lunch included for just $5).
BOTH: If you sign up for both events, three meals and overnight lodging at EKU’s Lilley Cornett Woods bunkhouse will be provided for just $15.
