Each year, the Fred Parker Giles Gallery at Eastern Kentucky University, in conjunction with the Chautauqua Lecture Series and the Department of Art and Design, mounts a National Juried Art Exhibition focused on that year’s Chautauqua theme. The exhibition is organized by Giles Gallery curator, Esther Randall. Jurors typically select a variety of works as finalists for the exhibition and award merit and monetary prizes for the top three or more entries. A special Chautauqua theme award is also conferred. This year’s juror, James Grubola of the University of Louisville's Hite Art Institute, has selected 42 works in multiple media by 32 artists.
