Earn a $500 scholarship: Maroon Machine Auditions
Maroon Machine is the 45 member EKU Pep Band. The band plays at home volleyball & basketball games, and other events, and travels to basketball tournaments.
The band is open to any EKU student who plays flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, and drum set. Auditions are THIS THURSDAY!
Members earn $500 scholarship and .5 class credit in the fall and spring; both semesters are required for participation. It meets from 8-9 PM on Thursday evenings. You must be available during this time slot, during typical game times (Thursdays and Saturdays) AND you must be available for the tournament trip (first week in March).
Students are not required to make 100% of games, and a rotation policy is set up so students can adequately participate, while balancing school and work.
