FBLA-PBL will be hosting the first meeting on Thursday, September 3rd in BTC 071. Anyone interested in being involved with FBLA-PBL in the upcoming year should attend and should apply to PBL by clicking on the attached link before the meeting. Following the meeting, PBL will be tailgating for the first football game. Attendance at the tailgate is not mandatory but is a great way to meet and get to know fellow members! The EKU Quick Recall Team will be doing its first practice of the semester this Thursday. If you want to have fun with a bunch of brainy and nerdy people over trivia questions, come on down to Case Annex in the Honors Lounge at 8:00 PM. Dr. Dorothy Edwards, Executive Director of Green Dot, etc., will present her Chautauqua Lecture, "What If We Can End Power-Based Violence?: The Green Dot Revolution," on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in O'Donnell Hall of the Whitlock Building.
The talk is free and open to the public. Attendance slips will be provided for students.
Green Dot, etc. is a research and training center dedicated to effective intervention and the prevention of power-based personal violence. The organization has provided training to hundreds of schools, military installations and other institutions in the United States and around the world.
The event is sponsored by the EKU Department of Women and Gender Studies, University Programs, and the Honors Program.
