The Trail is a 34.3-mile rail-to-recreation trail, traversing through two counties from Abingdon, Virginia, through Damascus, and ending just past Whitetop Station! All Campus Recreation Adventure Program Trips include food, transportation and all gear necessary for the adventure. Time of departure is dependent upon your schedule. We also can assist with any dietary restriction to ensure you have the best trip possible. All trips are student run by certified medically trained guides and on all of our trips no experience is necessary. If you want to try something new and different checkout Adventure Programs! Celebrate National Yoga Month in September with Campus Recreation! National Yoga Month was developed to raise awareness of yoga's health benefits and provide people with guidance and tools to improve their well-being. So get your Yoga on by learning a new pose every day and posting it to social media for a chance to win prizes! Start by picking up a yoga tracking sheet at the front desk of the Campus Recreation Center. Then follow along each day on Instagram to see the selected yoga pose. Be sure to use the hash tag #GetYourYogaOn and tag @EKUCampusRec when you post on social media to be entered for the chance to win a free yoga mat!

SENIORS! TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP FOR STUDENT TEACHING! To be eligible for student teaching in your professional semester, you must complete the online application in EKU Direct. The application will only be available until Midnight on Friday, September 15th and it will automatically close. The file is located under the Student Services tab and is the 10th folder listed. Once you have completed it and included the county for your first preference, you must go to that county's Board of Education and complete a local and federal background check. Bring our form with signatures back to Combs 427 before October 15th along with your Physical Form, TB Risk Assessment, Professional Liability Insurance (from either KEA or KAPE) and the certificate from KET's Promoting Positive Behavior Modules. The forms and live links are available on the TES webpage, www.tes.eku.edu/student resources.
