Join the No AWAY team today to build your resumé, work on networking and communications skills plus design techniques. Educate young people and help the environment. All majors welcome. No AWAY is looking for EKU students to work with Kentucky youth to form a campaign that will educate about plastic consumption. The target audiences that we will be working with are students ages 12–15 from Kentucky. EKU students will help with content, research and execution of the project that will be directed by Professor Shannon McCarthy of the Department of Art and Design. The project will start at the beginning of the Spring 2018 semester. If interested, contact Professor McCarthy at shannon.mccarthy@eku.edu to learn more.

Model Middle School is challenging the students of EKU to help us raise money for the Salvation Army Christmas Stocking Fund. We are asking EACH person to donate $1.00. Model students will be on campus Thursday caroling and collecting your dollar donations. Thank you for helping us to make Madison County a better place.

The Division of Natural Areas will host the Saturday Morning Science program where students participate in interactive, hands-on learning experiences. This week's theme is "Creatures of the Past". We will be learning about what animals lived on Earth before humans and how we know about them. The session is designed for students in grades 1 through 5. The cost is $30 per student with discounts for multiple students from one family and discounts for attending multiple sessions. All proceeds benefit students enrolled in the International Environmental Service Learning program. 2017-2018 Winter Term Course: REC 590/790 - Wildlife Tourism & Research. Online instruction & course travel (Jan 3-10) to coastal Georgia for Natural, Cultural & Historical Experiences, Visit Georgia Sea Turtle Center, St Simons Lighthouse, Driftwood Beach, and more, completed a Wildlife related service learning project.
