The Savannah Cross and Fred C. Short Endowed Scholarship will award two-$2,500 scholarships for the spring. Eligibility requirements: • freshman or sophomore in Elementary Education
• 3.2 GPA
• Preference for first generation college students
• Special preference for students from Pulaski County Applicants will write an essay demonstrating their academic achievement and community service. EKU Division of Natural Areas is hosting a fundraiser at Dreaming Creek Brewery from 5-7pm on two Saturdays, December 8th and December 15th, to help raise money for service learning research trips to Costa Rica to study sea turtles, jaguars, and mangrove restoration. Come out, and make an ornament for just $5 (all supplies and directions included!) or you can buy one of our pre-made ones. Dreaming Creek is a family (and dog) friendly business, so bring your friends and families out to support a great educational opportunity! There will also be supplies for kids to write letters to Santa.
