The College of Letters, Arts, & Social Sciences (CLASS) is offering a $500 stipend to a graduating student to present a commencement speech at the Fall 2019 Graduation Ceremony. To be eligible, you must have applied for Fall or Winter 2019 Graduation within CLASS. •Speeches should be about 4-5 minutes in length, which is about 3-4 pages of double-spaced text.
•MSWord or Rich Text Format, double-spaced, in 12-point Times New Roman font, with normal one-inch margins
•At the top of text please include full name, EKU ID number, major, expected degree, and department. Submit speeches before the end of the day Friday, October 11th, by sending an e-mail attachment of the text to Dr. Amy Thieme at amy.thieme@eku.edu. REC 101 is a 5-week course introducing students to the exciting world of recreation, parks, tourism and event planning careers! Section 2 starts Tuesday, September 24.

Join us in Brock Auditorium (inside the Coates Administration Building) for Peter Bielagus' "More Money" presentation. Peter will be teaching financial wellness and how to thrive as a college student. This event is First-Year Experience approved and MANDATORY for all first-year students. Proof of attendance slips will be provided at the end of the show.

This training is open to all students. The Green Dot Bystander Training is designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge, connection, and skill to increase their proactive and reactive bystander behaviors. Registration is REQUIRED. Students who participate in the event will leave with a Green Dot Certificate. This certification is a great resume booster!
