YOU are invited to Kappa Alpha Theta's philanthropy event - Rock the CASA! Students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend Theta's outdoor concert in the Ravine in support of Madison County CASA. Tickets will be sold during tabling this week ($3) and available to purchase at the event ($5). Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a national association in the United States that supports and promotes court-appointed advocates for abused or neglected children in order to provide children with a safe and healthy environment in permanent homes.

The Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies is sponsoring the EKU Bioethics Bowl. The Bioethics Bowl is a debate-style team competition focusing on ethical issues in the practice of medicine and/or biomedical research. The EKU Bioethics Bowl is open to teams of 3-5 EKU undergraduates from any major. 1st prize is $50 per team member and the chance to compete in the 2020 National Bioethics Bowl. 2nd prize is $25 per team member. Interested teams should send a list of team members to Laura Newhart at Laura.Newhart@eku.edu by October 12. Please consider participating in this fun and professionally valuable activity. The Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies offers an 18 credit hour Minor in Applied Ethics.
