Invasive plant species are a major conservation problem that land managers put vigorous money and effort into rectifying. For native species to benefit, control and suppression are just as crucial on private properties. This event will provide useful invasive species identification and removal techniques so that you can safely transform your backyard into a useful sanctuary for wildlife. The Dept. of Languages, Cultures, & Humanities is offering CHN 101 CRN 24261 Conversational Chinese 1 and FCC 210 CRN 21460 Chinese Culture through Cinema for Spring 2020!
FCC 210 CRN 21460: Chinese Culture through Cinema is 3 credit hours fulfilling Gen Ed 3. Study films from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan and by diasporic Chinese film-makers from diverse critical perspectives and in historical contexts. Taught in English.
CHN 101 CRN 24261: Conversational Chinese I is 3 credit hour fulfilling Gen Ed 6. An introduction to the grammar and structure of Chinese taught in cultural context. This course is for students with little or no experience with Chinese. Not open to native speakers of Chinese. Event Date: January 13

Chris Phillips will be presenting a ‘Sabermetric Forecasting’ model using an OLS regression model that includes key team statistics for batting, pitching, and defense. The regression equation determines the best team statistics to forecast team wins. Teams can forecast how improvements to these key team statistics can impact team wins over a single season.

The Boogie Bash is being put on for the students of EKU by NRHH. This event will feature a dance party, movies, and treats.

Come dressed up in a creative or spooky costume and you could participate for a chance to win the costume contest we will be having and get a spooky surprise.
