Dr. Joshua Lynn will lead the monthly Philosophy and Religious Studies Roundtable Discussion. This month's topic: "Is Donald Trump Conservative? (And what, by the way, is conservatism?)" Some conservatives deny that President Trump is part of their philosophical tradition. Others say that American conservatism is now Trumpism. We’ll discuss what conservatism means, and whether or not Trump is part of that philosophical tradition. All are welcome to attend and participate in the discussion.

APO National Service Week for 2019 is on Diabetes Awareness on Campus. This event will be a bake-off amongst RSO’s to bake diabetic-friendly treats/dishes. Each RSO will pay five dollars to participate. After baking a treat of their choice, we will showcase all of the food, allow students to try a bite of each dish, and then people donate any amount of money to vote on their favorite. The food with the most amount of money raised (votes) will get to split the proceeds with us for their charity of choice. Our half will go to a charity for diabetes. DEADLINE TO SIGN UP IS NOVEMBER 1!
Alpha Phi Omega is a co-ed National service fraternity.

The Office of Military and Veteran Affairs would like to invite all students, faculty, staff and community members to participate in the Veterans Day National Roll Call of Fallen Heroes on Monday, November 11th, 2019. National Roll Call will be conducted from 5:30 am to 1:00 pm in front of Veterans Memorial, Powell Plaza, where we will read aloud the names of our fallen heroes. If you would like to volunteer to read names for a 15-minute time slot, please click on the web link below to submit your volunteer form. The EKU R User Group meets the last Tuesday of each month (Fall 2019: 29-Oct, 26-Nov). The R User Group is a free activity open to everyone on campus. The purpose of this group is to build a community of people interested in using the programming language R. The goal is to exchange ideas, collaborate, and provide support to one another.
