Last chance to sign up for Winter Term BIO 101 this week! Are you looking to complete one of your Natural Science General Education requirements this winter term? Are you interested in learning about current topics in biology like cancer, antibiotic resistance, and global warming in an interactive and engaging setting? Essentials of Biology (BIO 101) is the course for you! You will be guided through a diverse range of modern topics in biology using videos, online interactive learning modules, discussions, group wikis, and virtual laboratory experiments, which are a great way to get your whole family involved in the learning biology with you. You will also likely find yourself sharing hot topics in biology at your holiday parties. Registration closes Friday the 6th!

Spend your break doing something that matters! You’ll get to spend time in the city surrounding your service partner, enjoy warmer weather, and have a great addition to your resume! In addition to having an awesome time, students that participate in the trip will be eligible to apply as a leader for future fall, winter, spring and summer breaks. The leadership skills gained through this are what today's employers are looking for, and it allows you to travel at little to no cost! February 21st deadline.

With both finals and the holiday season quickly approaching, you may be feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Need a self-care break? Stop by to engage in mindful activities that get you out of your head and into the moment. Think- seeing, smelling, hearing, tasting, touching! Your mental health is just as important as your physical health which is why we will also have campus resources available such as the EKU Counseling Center, Psychology Clinic, and Campus Rec Health Promotion.

The John Grant Crabbe Main Library will be open 24 hours 12/1-12/11. * An EKU ID is required for entry between midnight and 7:00 a.m. for all students, staff, and faculty. *Begins at 7:30 a.m. on December 1 and ends at 10:00 p.m. on December 11.

Come learn stress management and emotional regulation skills that can help get you through to the end of the semester! Sessions held Monday-Thursday (12/2-12/5 & 12/9-12/12) at 3:30 PM as well as Wednesday (12/4 & 12/11) & Thursday (12/5 & 12/12) at 11:00 AM. On Friday, December 6th at 3:30 p.m. Richmond Parks and Recreation will be using the east side of the Alumni Coliseum Lot (State Police/Begley Building) as a staging area for its annual Christmas Parade. Commuter permit holders are encouraged to park on the west side of the Alumni Coliseum commuter parking lot (Model) if they anticipate being parked beyond 3:30 p.m. on Friday December 6th. All vehicles parked on the east side of the Alumni Coliseum will need to be removed prior to 3:30 p.m.
