Come cheer on the Colonels at the OVC Tournament! The Fan Bus will be departing from Alumni Coliseum on Thursday, March 5th at 1pm. Join the Society of Student Anthropologists at EKU tonight from 6:30 to 8 in room 128 of the library for an evening of fun with mummies, coffins, and pyramids.
A presentation on the burial practices of ancient Egypt will be given followed by a race to mummify a friend and prepare them for the afterlife. Any student can enter and put their wrapping skills to the test. Mummies will be judged and prizes given for the top 3!
Free pizza and drinks will be provided on a first come first served basis! We hope to see you all there!

The College of Letters, Arts, & Social Sciences (CLASS) is offering a $500 stipend to a graduating student to present a commencement speech at the Spring 2020 Graduation Ceremony. To be eligible, you must have applied for Spring or Summer 2020 Graduation within CLASS. •Speeches should be about 4-5 minutes in length, which is about 3-4 pages of double-spaced text.
•MSWord or Rich Text Format, double-spaced, in 12-point Times New Roman font, with normal one-inch margins
•At the top of text please include full name, EKU ID number, major, expected degree, and department. Submit speeches before the end of the day March 20, 2020, by sending an e-mail attachment of the text to Dr. Amy Thieme at amy.thieme@eku.edu. Social Scientists and students of Kentucky, You are cordially invited to present your research at EKU's second annual Social Science Undergraduate Research Symposium. Undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty and community members engaged in community research all encouraged to present their and/or attend this free event. Presenters and attendees may attend as many or as few as fifty minute sessions as desired. Our theme for this symposium is Health and Justice in Appalachia. We encourage submissions on this theme however, research and discussions on any aspect of social science will be gladly accepted. Awards including a small cash prize will be given for Best Student Papers. Submissions are due at midnight!
