EKU Campus Recreation is planning to reopen in a limited capacity this August, commensurate with Students’ return to campus on August 8th. Join the EKU Counseling Center staff today for a workshop on Distress Tolerance. When life feels like you’re currently in the middle of an unfinished Jumanji game, your emotions can activate with a high degree of intensity. Changes in your daily routine and the people you’re around can lead to a mixture of emotions. These new experiences can be stressful. The tools provided in this workshop are aimed to provide you with skills to navigate these intense emotions and increase the positive experiences throughout your day.

Free QPR (Question, Persuade and Refer) gatekeeper training for suicide prevention for faculty, staff, and students will be offered via the meeting platform, Zoom. As a QPR-trained gatekeeper, you will learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to help someone find the help they may need. Help save the life of a friend, colleague, or family member in need. To register e-mail Dr. Melissa Bartsch, melissa.bartsch@eku.edu. This workshop is limited to 12 participants.
