EKU Libraries invites the University community to participate in a virtual Halloween costume contest in lieu of our traditional, in-person event. EKU students and employees may submit a photo of themselves in costume via our Facebook page or by emailing photo to Christina.Stallard@eku.edu. Photos should be submitted no later than 10/27, and online voting will take place on EKU Libraries' Facebook page from 10/28-10/30. Prizes will be awarded to the following: Best Student Costume, Best Student Group Costume, Best Employee Costume, and Best Employee Group Costume. EKU Libraries requests groups limit themselves to 6 individuals, and that group photos are taken individually and submitted as a set of photos in order to practice social distancing. We look forward to seeing your costumes, EKU!

The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards is looking for Student Conduct Advocates for the 2020-2021 academic year. Advocates have 2 primary roles - providing outreach to the University community and advocating for students going through the conduct process. Being an Advocate provides valuable leadership training, critical thinking skills, and is a great addition to a resume. Affirm is a collaborative group working toward acceptance through education and open discussion toward LGBTQ+ life experiences. This is a virtual therapy group through the EKU Psychology Clinic, is conducted by EKU Clinical Psychology doctoral students, and hosted through Zoom. We meet Monday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Did you know you could study abroad during the winter or summer or even for a whole semester? Maybe you’re not sure where you can go or what classes you can take abroad. Leveling Up is a group that provides interpersonal support as participants navigate D&D campaigns together. This is a weekly virtual group provided by the EKU Counseling Center and hosted through a secure video platform. Understanding Self & Others is a group that supports participants as they create healthy relationships with others and with themselves. This group promotes authentic interactions as well as learning from others' experiences. In a time of isolation and loneliness, this group can help create a sense of connection and belonging. This is a weekly virtual group provided by the EKU Counseling Center and hosted through a secure video platform.
