Blackboard Login

Blackboard is EKU’s course management system that provides instructors with Web sites to interact with their students. Instructors use Blackboard to manage all online activities during a class. Blackboard is also an excellent tool for campus organizations to communicate and store information effectively at any time without physical location restraints.

How do I sign on to Blackboard?

• Browse to EKU web site:  http://www.eku.edu and select Blackboard from Quick Links or directly connect to Blackboard by browsing to http://learn.eku.edu
• Click Login to EKU Blackboard
• Click Login button

What is my user name and password?
If you have activated your email account, your Blackboard username and password match your EKU
Email account. **If you lose your username or password, you may call 859-622-3000 option 2 for help.**

After I sign on to Blackboard, what do I do next?
From your WELCOME screen under MY COURSES - - - -
** The list will show all the courses your instructor has made available for the semester.**
** If you do not see the courses you expect, ask the instructor if they plan to use Blackboard.**

I forgot or misplaced my user name and /or password! I am having problems logging into Blackboard!

What do I do?

• Visit us at the Combs Building, Room 207
• Go to the main campus computer labs.

Can I log in to Blackboard from home? 
Blackboard works entirely through a Web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, Apple Safari), so no special software is needed for Blackboard. The main requirement is that your browser must be up-to-date and current;  this means that you should be using Netscape 7, Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.1 or better, or Apple Safari 1.2 or better. These programs are not compatible with Windows 95 or Mac OS earlier than 8.6. We have tested Blackboard 6 with Windows 98 and noticed no problems.
