TAYLOR FORK EVENT: American Woodcock Viewing

  
This is a great time of year to hear woodcock calling and to see their amazing display flights at Taylor Fork Ecological Area. There will be a field trip on Tuesday, March 21, at 7 p.m. to observe displaying woodcock. There are numerous birds at the site. They begin calling and displaying after sunset. Binoculars are not necessary.

The trip will take approximately one hour.

Dress for the weather. The paths are mowed. You will need sturdy walking shoes.

Directions: Taylor Fork Ecological Area is adjacent to south campus. Take Kit Carson Drive to McKinney Skills Drive, then follow the dirt road on the right through the gate.
