TLI: Puzzled about student engagement, connection, and content mastery: Jigsaw is the answer
Students often report disliking small group work, and for good reasons: instructions can be ambiguous and accountability lacking. A jigsaw activity requires clear instructions and individual accountability. It also turns students into explainers, and requires engagement from every student in class. Participants in this TLI will see a jigsaw activity in action and learn about the jigsaw’s history and strengths.
