TLI: Inquiry-based Learning
Facilitator: Dr. Judy Jenkins
Are you looking for ways to incorporate (more) inquiry into your science courses? Inquiry methods provide experiences that allow students to learn science by doing science, generating and leveraging student curiosity to facilitate memorable, meaningful learning experiences. In this session, the facilitator will introduce several strategies for incorporating inquiry into lessons, labs and courses with an emphasis on using inquiry in science courses. Participants will receive resources describing implementation of question formulation, process-oriented guided inquiry learning (POGIL), case-based learning, problem-based learning and course-based undergraduate research experiences (CURE).
