EHS Safety Tips

September is National Preparedness Month and that is a great time to review your plans and procedures should an emergency arise. Here are a few tips:
- Have a plan and discuss it with coworkers and family members.
- Know where to go and what to do in an emergency.
- Build an emergency kit, flashlights, nonperishable foods, bottled water, and blankets are just a few items that should always be ready.
- Consider downloading an emergency app to keep you informed of what may be going on.
- Keep a first aid kit stocked and ready should one be needed.
- Know your zone in case of a chemical release at BGAD. Make sure you and your family are aware of a shelter in place plan.
As we progress into the fall months it’s a good time to have maintenance performed on your vehicle and make sure everything is working properly.
Remember in an emergency planning is everything. Be prepared!
