Full-time faculty: You have until 4:30 p.m. today to choose what model of new computer you want from among the three options (Dell laptop, Dell tablet, or Apple MacBook).

Please make a selection so that IT can order the correct quantities of each device. If you do not choose, the Dell laptop will ordered by default.

Click "More On This Announcement" link below to make your selection and see the specs for each device. Visit the IT service desk in Combs 208 if you want to look at the equipment in person.

The faculty computer rollout will begin in February and will continue until finished.

We have recently enabled the Ally tool in all Blackboard courses. This tool will help you to evaluate the accessibility of your course documents and will also assist your students by creating different accessible versions of those documents, including versions for electronic braille machines, HTML versions and audio versions. EKU IT is offering several training sessions for you to learn about this new Blackboard feature.

Training sessions are drop-in, so no need to register.

You've heard about replacing office hours with student hours. Might you also think about moving some of those student hours outside the office? We engage today's students by meeting them where they are. Try holding some portion of your student hours in high traffic areas like Java City, Starbucks, the Library or the Science Building lobby. Some faculty have already seen great results by making students immediately more comfortable and initiating conversations that can be continued, when necessary, in your office. A small change to your spring syllabus and weekly routine can have big results.

The American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) offers an annual Japan Studies Institute for faculty without prior experience in Japanese Studies, to encourage them to include Japan in their courses. The next institute will take place June 3-16, 2019, on the campus of San Diego State University; most of the cost of attending is covered by grant funding. Due to a performance, parking restrictions will be enforced at the EKU Center for the Arts from 9:30 p.m. tonight through event day, typically the following day. EKU Center for the Arts side lot and back parking lot will be closed through event time. Alternate parking is available throughout campus.
