The Instructional Design Center is hosting VoiceThread led, virtual training on Sept. 4. For those not familiar with this technology, VoiceThread is a web-based application that enables students and teachers to communicate asynchronously via text, video, and audio. It lets instructors create interactive lectures and assessments, and students design interactive presentations and rich interactions.

The session will cover basic to intermediate VoiceThread features, showcase examples from real courses and demonstrate how VoiceThread works in Blackboard.

You can also join the event virtually by registering at this link or you can join us in Commonwealth Hall 1801. Once registered, you will receive a session link via email.

Event Date: September 04; 11 a.m.
Location: Commonwealth Hall 1801 and Online
Cost: Free

Building off of Cultural Humility: Part One, this workshop will help you answer both the "why" and "how" questions about creating culturally responsive classrooms, regardless of the subject matter you teach.

In this hands on workshop, participants will think about the role of reading for learning in their courses and practice metacognitive strategies that can help students read with purpose and develop as critical readers.
