Veterans Studies Invited Speaker – Lt. Col. (Ret.) Elizabeth Barrs
The Kentucky Center for Veterans Studies (KCVS) regularly invites individuals with unique perspectives on veterans’ issues to speak to classes and the larger campus community. Join us for a talk with Elizabeth Barrs, an active-duty Army intelligence officer for 21 years who served tours in Desert Storm, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the White House Situation Room. She has taught Veterans Studies courses at EKU since 2013 and is a doctoral candidate in history. Learn about her views on the emerging field of Veterans Studies and how her extensive military career influences her teaching. All are welcome!
