S.H.O.E.S (Students Honoring Others Everyday Struggles) Collection
EKU Housing & Residence Life will host an event entitled S.H.O.E.S (Students Honoring Others Everyday Struggles) on April 8, 2021, Lower Powell Plaza from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM. This event is focused on mental health and raising awareness to the struggle’s students face every day.
The event will collect pairs of shoes and stories anonymously from faculty, staff, and students about their mental health journey that will be displayed on campus. If you would like to donate any shoes, a collection box will be placed in Whitlock on the first floor and every residence hall until March 26th. This concept was originally developed and implemented by housing staff at East Carolina University and is being modified to meet the needs of our campus community.
