S.H.O.E.S (Students Honoring Others Everyday Struggles) Collection
EKU Housing & Residence Life is currently collecting pairs of shoes and stories anonymously from faculty, staff, and students about their mental health journey that will be displayed on campus at the S.H.O.E.S event. If you would like to donate any shoes, a collection box is currently placed in the Residence Hall lobbies and Whitlock lobby until March 26th. If you would like to share a story click on “More on This Announcement” and follow the instructions on the page. Please be on the lookout for more updates about the event.
This event will take place on April 8, 2021, Lower Powell Plaza from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM. This event is focused on mental health and raising awareness to the struggle’s students face every day.
This concept was originally developed and implemented by housing staff at East Carolina University and is being modified to meet the needs of our campus community.
