AmeriCorps KY Ready Corps, Sustainable Garden Project, Garrard County
Join the AmeriCorps national community service movement this summer, and serve with KY Ready Corps! Our current KY Ready Corps team is completing their spring 2021 service, and we are recruiting new members to serve at the Catholic Action Center's sustainable garden project at Cliffview treatment center near Lancaster. Duties include planting, maintaining and harvesting crops, preparing donations to local food pantries, tending the greenhouse, chickens and bees. Service starts May 17 and ends in mid-August, about 20-25 service hours per week. Benefits include a modest living allowance, an education award at end of service, professional development and the opportunity to give back to your community during recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
