SPJ First Amendment Week
The Society of Professional Journalists will host First Amendment Week from April 11-14. This year's theme is advocacy. We hope to see you at our events listed below:
Monday, April 11: "Track and Trace: Year One of the COVID-19 Pandemic" documentary screening at 5 p.m. in Ferrell - Combs Building.
Before the documentary screening, EKU President David McFaddin will sign a campus media statement that will allow all public student organizations on campus, including the Eastern Progress, to continue to be a public forum.
Tuesday, April 12: A Memorial for Fallen Journalists at 11 a.m. in the Meditation Chapel.
Wednesday, April 13: "Pop-up Protest" from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Powell Corner.
Thursday, April 14: "My Advocacy Story" with EKU Distinguished Alumnus C. Richard Mattingly (EKU '78) at 11 a.m. in Ferrell - Combs Building. Event Date: April 11 Cost: Free
