S.H.O.E.S. (Students Honoring Others’ Everyday Struggles)
Housing & Residence Life presents the 2nd Annual S.H.O.E.S. (Students Honoring Others’ Everyday Struggles), which will be hosted in Powell Plaza on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. The goal of SHOES is to highlight the stories from members of the campus community regarding their mental health and other struggles they may be facing. Shoes will be utilized to symbolize hope, growth, and strength as participants learn about the challenges experienced by those around them.
To get involved, you can donate any unused shoes to one of our donation boxes located in all campus residence halls, Whitlock, and Powell. Shoes will be accepted in any condition. We are also collecting anonymous stories regarding everyday challenges and mental health struggles faced by those in our campus community, which can be submitted here.
