Graduados Sherehe- an Intercultural Graduation Celebration

Join us as we uplift our EKU student graduates at the Graduados Sherehe, an Intercultural Graduation Celebration that will be held on May 4, 2022, at 6:30PM in the O’Donnell Auditorium of the Whitlock Building. Graduados is Spanish for graduates and Sherehe is Kiswahili for Celebration.

African/African American, Latino/a/x, Indigenous and International students, as well as faculty & administration will gather to support and celebrate the academic persistence of multicultural graduates through cultural traditions. The celebration will recognize graduates at both undergraduate and graduate levels, the Dr. Rodney Gross Scholars, and will feature a keynote address. Each graduate participating in the celebration will be adorned with a cultural stole/cloth to wear during their graduation ceremony. Students, faculty, and staff are asked to wear graduation regalia (gown).
