McNair Scholars Program Recruitment
The McNair Scholars Program continues to seek talented students. McNair is an extracurricular graduate school preparation program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. McNair scholars aim for doctoral degrees. Selected students begin this fall 2022 semester. Program activities include faculty mentoring, a fall colloquium of workshops, a spring research class, a paid summer research internship, presentations at national conferences, graduate admission test preparation, graduate school application support, graduate school application fee waivers, an EKU scholarship, and graduate-level assistantships and fellowships at leading universities. Applicants must be first-generation students from low-income backgrounds and/or Black, Hispanic, American Indian, or Pacific Islander.
