Take Back the Night
During the college experience, one in four students who identify as women experiences sexual violence (25.9%). Among those who identify as men, the rate is rising with current reported estimates between 7% and 13%. For LGBTQIA+ and non-binary students, the likelihood of violence is even higher.
Share your lived experience with interpersonal violence and develop empathy through listening to others' stories. You'll hear from advocates and from survivors during an open mic portion of the evening, followed by a candlelight vigil for victims and a march around campus for consciousness raising. Please dress in layers and/or bring blankets.
Proof of attendance will be provided before the march.
