Affirm is a collaborative group working toward acceptance through education and open discussion toward LGBTQ+ life experiences. This is a virtual therapy group through the EKU Psychology Clinic, is conducted by EKU Clinical Psychology doctoral students, and hosted through Zoom. Hello Everyone, Alpha Phi Omega will be hosting a Service Art Project for the next couple of weeks in the support of Black Lives Matter. We will have Pieces of paper located in the student life office that we would like people to write positive messages and drawings on supporting BLM (with their own writing utensils). You’re able to drop by anytime between January 25th – February 3rd during regular Office hours. TOMORROW!! A discussion about Fraternity & Sorority Life. RSVP to join us and learn more about the Divine 9 Chapters at EKU. The event will begin with an opening introduction along with a short presentation about what groups are represented within the NPHC along with functions of the council. Men and women will then be sent to breakout rooms to meet each Fraternity for the men or each sorority for the women. Join the EKU Counseling Center staff today for a workshop on Distress Tolerance. When life feels like you’re currently in the middle of an unfinished Jumanji game, your emotions can activate with a high degree of intensity. Changes in your daily routine and the people you’re around can lead to a mixture of emotions. These new experiences can be stressful. The tools provided in this workshop are aimed to provide you with skills to navigate these intense emotions and increase the positive experiences throughout your day.

Beyond Labels is an affirming support group for students who have and/or are questioning having LGBTQ* identities. This is a weekly virtual support group provided by the EKU Counseling Center. Pathfinders is an affirming weekly support group for students who are first generation college students. At EKU, a student is considered "first gen" if they are the first in their family to attend a four-year university or if neither of their parents/guardians have completed a bachelor’s degree. Some first gen students may have older siblings who have attended college. This virtual group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center and is hosted through a secure video platform.
