Every Tuesday at 6:00 PM are the EKU Student Senate meetings. Anyone is welcome to come to our meetings and listen in on ways we are representing the student voice. The Department of Mathematics & Statistics will hold its first Coffee Time event of the semester with "Careers in Math Education: Panel Discussion." Alumni panelists will include Katie DeSimone, Madison County Schools; Heidi Little, Scott County Schools; Jeremy Miller, Lee County Schools; Keeley Ridner, Fayette County Schools; and Alex White, Model Laboratory School. The Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, in partnership with EKU African and African American Studies, and the KY Center for Veterans Studies, will host "For Love of Liberty," a PBS documentary about the contributions of Black service members throughout American history. The film will be followed by a discussion with distinguished veteran panelists. There are two opportunities to watch and join in the discussion. February 23 at 7:00 PM

Join the staff of the EKU Counseling Center today for a Workshop on Emotional Regulation. Regardless of whether you’re at home or school, every day we can experience a wide range of emotions. This workshop will focus on the most scientifically backed methods of managing your emotions, provide activities and tools that can help you feel more grounded and in control of your emotional functioning.

Beyond Labels is an affirming support group for students who have and/or are questioning having LGBTQ* identities. This is a weekly virtual support group provided by the EKU Counseling Center. Beyond Labels meets Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30pm and is hosted through a secure video platform. Black Voices is a safe space for students of color to express and discuss personal experiences with other EKU students of color. This discussion-based support group meets weekly on Tuesdays from 2-3pm and is hosted by a secure video platform. Coping with COVID is an affirming support group for students who have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and are in isolation. This is a weekly virtual support group offered three times per week. Pathfinders is an affirming weekly support group for students who are first generation college students. At EKU, a student is considered "first gen" if they are the first in their family to attend a four-year university or if neither of their parents/guardians have completed a bachelor’s degree. Some first gen students may have older siblings who have attended college. This virtual group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center and is hosted through a secure video platform. Let’s Talk is a free, confidential consultation service offered through the EKU Counseling Center for currently enrolled EKU Students.
Have a specific problem but unsure about counseling? Wonder what it's like to talk with a mental health therapist or psychologist? Concerned about a friend but not sure how to help? The EKU Counseling Center is providing easy access to informal, confidential conversations with our professional mental health clinicians!
