Scholar’s Tank is an entrepreneurial-themed addition to Scholars Week, where students and faculty can present an idea to improve some aspect of campus that has the potential to be turned into an entrepreneurial venture. Our campus entrepreneurs will pitch their idea to a panel of “sharks" who will decide which idea gets funded.
The winner will be awarded $5,000 to take their idea from concept to concrete results. Watch your idea grow into something that has a positive impact on the university. These can be individual or group projects. The submission deadline is TODAY, April 1.

Jennifer Frey teaches philosophy at the University of South Carolina, specializing in virtue ethics and action theory. Previously, she taught at the University of Chicago. Frey earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Medieval Studies with a Classics minor at Indiana University and and completed her PhD in philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Frey’s research lies at the intersection of philosophy of action, ethics and meta-ethics. She is the co-editor of the book,_ Self-Transcendence and Virtue_, published by Routledge in 2018. We are scheduling interviews now and throughout the spring semester.
You will be interviewed by our research team and complete a survey. It will take ~ 1 hour.
Participants will receive a $20 gift card to compensate them for their time.
