The Kentucky Center for Veterans Studies (KCVS) regularly invites individuals with unique perspectives on veterans’ issues to speak to classes and the larger campus community. Join us for a talk with Beth Avey, Vice President of the Knox Regional Development Alliance (KRDA), a community-based non-profit organization that works to promote and protect Fort Knox. Prior to joining the KRDA team, Beth was President and CEO of an Elizabethtown-based marketing firm that she co-founded in 2006. Beth is an Army Veteran, serving 13 years on active duty, first in the chemical corps and then in public affairs. Hear the story of one woman’s successful transition out of military service and learn ways to support veterans transitioning here on campus and in your home communities. All are welcome!
