EKU Housing & Residence Life will host an event entitled S.H.O.E.S (Students Honoring Others Everyday Struggles) that has been rescheduled for April 13th. This event is focused on mental health and raising awareness to the struggles students face every day. Join us as you "walk" through someone else's shoes for a day. We are still collecting stories, and if you would like to share, click "More On This Announcement” below and follow the instructions on the page. This concept was originally developed and implemented by housing staff at East Carolina University and is being modified to meet the needs of our campus community.

Coping with COVID is an affirming support group for students who have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and are in isolation. This is a weekly virtual support group offered three times per week.

Join the staff of the EKU Counseling Center today for a workshop on Mindfulness. Being isolated in quarantine can lead to spending a lot of time on various activities that take your attention away from the present moment. Practicing mindfulness can be a great opportunity to improve your mental health by challenging yourself to be present and aware of your thoughts and feelings. In this workshop, you will learn tools that can help you practice mindfulness and work towards reducing and preventing stress, anxiety, depression, as well as many other concerns you may be experiencing.

The organization and planning module of the Feel Better Fast series will be aimed to help establish a routine to help with managing your day.
