Join the AmeriCorps National Community Service movement, supporting the KY Ready Corps program in the College of Justice & Safety! We are recruiting one member to maintain our social media accounts and assist with fall recruitment efforts. Duties include daily social media posts and responses, design and edit Canva recruitment materials, hosting monthly virtual information sessions and use of G Suite for recruitment mail merges and updates of contact lists. Service terms is May 17-August 14, about 20-25 service hours per week, both remote and on campus service. Benefits include a modest living allowance, an education award at end of service for tuition and/or student loans, and the opportunity to be of service to the EKU community. Our current KY Ready Corps team is completing their spring 2021 service, and we are recruiting new members to serve at the Catholic Action Center's sustainable garden project at Cliffview treatment center near Lancaster. Duties include planting, maintaining and harvesting crops, preparing donations to local food pantries, tending the greenhouse, chickens and bees. Service starts May 17 and ends in mid-August, about 20-25 service hours per week. Benefits include a modest living allowance, an education award at end of service, professional development and the opportunity to give back to your community during recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
