Affirm is a collaborative group working toward acceptance through education and open discussion toward LGBTQ+ life experiences. This is a virtual therapy group through the EKU Psychology Clinic, is conducted by EKU Clinical Psychology doctoral students, and hosted through Zoom. Interview days will be August 30, September 13, and September 20. Interested participants must physically be in Kentucky and be at least 18 years old. If interested, please email Megan Thomas (megan.thomas@eku.hush.com).

Think you can do the most pull ups in one minute? Test your skills in the Pull Up Challenge. From Monday, August 30th to September 3rd, individuals will have the opportunity to see how many pull ups they can complete in one minute. For a pull up to count, the chin must raise above the bar. To participate, simply find a student staff member on either Fitness Floor, who will check you in and track your progress. Challenge winners will receive a $50 shopping spree to Dick's Sporting Goods.

Untapped Brilliance is a group for those living with ADHD. This group is designed to tap into the skills and talents that are a part of living with ADHD and develop strategies to use those gifts in every part of life. This virtual group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center and is hosted through a secure video platform. A group orientation is required to join this group. When a student finds themselves or another student’s safety at risk due to the use of alcohol or other drugs, they should contact the EKUPD immediately for medical assistance. Formal disciplinary action for violations of paragraphs 33, 34, and 35 of the General Regulations Concerning Student Behavior of the Student Handbook will not be enforced provided the involved students meet the criteria for amnesty. You wont be punished for helping a friend. If someone needs medical attention because of drugs or alcohol, they and you are protected by medical amnesty. Just call, stay, and cooperate. When life feels like you’re currently in the middle of an unfinished Jumanji game, your emotions can activate with a high degree of intensity. Changes in your daily routine and the people you’re around can lead to a mixture of emotions. These new experiences can be stressful.
