The Eastern Scholar House program is open to qualifying students with a long-term goal of self-sufficiency who would benefit from living in an educationally driven and supportive environment. ESH is a combination of education supports, housing and child development services, all of which are interdependent. Priority for housing is given to eligible single parents who are full-time students in an approved post-secondary institution. They have a few more openings and welcome inquiries. Mental Health Screening Day is an event put on by the counseling center, to help students better understand their mental health needs. During this event, EKUCC professional staff will be encouraging students to complete brief questionnaires, which will be scored with the student. Our Professional staff will review the results of the screening and provide individual feedback regarding interventions and supports that can help students better manage any identified symptoms.

When we are stressed, it can be hard to operate at our best. When we are stressed and then have to complete tasks that will be graded or evaluated, it can feel impossible to be our best.
