The Kentucky Center for Veterans Studies (KCVS) regularly invites individuals to speak to the campus community. Join us for a talk with Lt. Col. Deborah Daley, an Adjutant General’s Corps officer with 17 years of service. She deployed twice (Kuwait in 2005; Iraq in 2008) before rotating to serve as an instructor in the Department of English and Philosophy at the United States Military Academy. Her most recent assignment was as the Brigade S1 (Senior HR Officer) for the 1-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team (BCT). She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Kentucky and upon graduation will serve as an Academy Professor at the United States Military Academy. LTC Daley’s scholarship focuses on gender, performance, and geographies in contemporary war stories. Register where it says “More” below. Join the staff of the EKU Counseling Center today for a workshop on Mindfulness. Being isolated in quarantine can lead to spending a lot of time on various activities that take your attention away from the present moment. Practicing mindfulness can be a great opportunity to improve your mental health by challenging yourself to be present and aware of your thoughts and feelings. In this workshop, you will learn tools that can help you practice mindfulness and work towards reducing and preventing stress, anxiety, depression, as well as many other concerns you may be experiencing.

Integrate to Regulate is a group designed to promote healing for trauma survivors. This group incorporates specific, concrete skills combined with expressive arts to support the process of trauma integration.
