As part of EKU's Military Appreciation Weekend, the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs is honored to present the film screening of "Walk With Frank," a film about self-discovery, mental health, and one man's journey towards understanding and embracing PTSD.
There will be a reception with light refreshments in O'Donnell Lobby at 5:00 pm prior to the film screening. The film will be followed by a Q&A with Army combat veteran Frank Romeo and film producers, Ryan and Matt Mayers. All EKU students, veterans, and their family members are encouraged to attend. Color Coded is a safe space for students of color to express and discuss personal experiences with other EKU students of color. Grief is a normal and natural response to loss. It can also feel overwhelming, lonely, and complicated. Grief group is safe space to receive support, learn to cope, and to connect with other students who are also adjusting to the death of a friend, family member, or loved one.

Pathfinders is an affirming weekly support group for students who are first generation college students. At EKU, a student is considered "first gen" if they are the first in their family to attend a four-year university or if neither of their parents/guardians have completed a bachelor’s degree. Some first gen students may have older siblings who have attended college. This virtual group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center and is hosted through a secure video platform.

When a student finds themselves or another student’s safety at risk due to the use of alcohol or other drugs, they should contact the EKUPD immediately for medical assistance. Formal disciplinary action for violations of paragraphs 33, 34, and 35 of the General Regulations Concerning Student Behavior of the Student Handbook will not be enforced provided the involved students meet the criteria for amnesty.
You wont be punished for helping a friend. If someone needs medical attention because of drugs or alcohol, they and you are protected by medical amnesty.
Just call, stay, and cooperate.
