Student Life & First-Year Experience invites you to Adopt an Angel from the Salvation Army Angel Tree. We have 20 angels in need this year. The tree and QR code to complete the adoption form are located just outside the Student Life office, Powell 152. Those wishing to return their gifts on campus should bring them to Student Life by noon on December 7th.
For those who would like to participate remotely, you can shop online using Walmart’s Registry for Good, by clicking "More On This Announcement" below. LIVE GUITAR CONCERT TONIGHT (No more streaming! YEA!)
The EKU Guitar Studio (FB: EKU Guitarstudio) will present a concert of acoustic and electric works (rock, jazz, classical, and contemporary literature) for the guitar on November 23, 7:30PM in Gifford Theater. Selections include seasonal works (Carol of the Bells, Angels We have Heard on High and What Child is This), Rock favorites by the Kinks, Greta Van Fleet, and Tyler Bryant, Jazz hits by Carlos Jobim, Paul Desmond, and Antônio Carlos Jobim, and perennial classical favorites from Bach to Brouwer. Join the EKU Counseling Center staff today for a workshop on Distress Tolerance. When life feels like you’re currently in the middle of an unfinished Jumanji game, your emotions can activate with a high degree of intensity. Changes in your daily routine and the people you’re around can lead to a mixture of emotions. These new experiences can be stressful. The tools provided in this workshop are aimed to provide you with skills to navigate these intense emotions and increase the positive experiences throughout your day. Beyond Labels is an affirming support group for students who have and/or are questioning having LGBTQ* identities. This is a weekly virtual support group provided by the EKU Counseling Center. Color Coded is a safe space for students of color to express and discuss personal experiences with other EKU students of color. This discussion-based support group meets weekly on Tuesdays from 2-3pm and is hosted by a secure video platform. Grief is a normal and natural response to loss. It can also feel overwhelming, lonely, and complicated. Grief group is safe space to receive support, learn to cope, and to connect with other students who are also adjusting to the death of a friend, family member, or loved one.

Pathfinders is an affirming weekly support group for students who are first generation college students. At EKU, a student is considered "first gen" if they are the first in their family to attend a four-year university or if neither of their parents/guardians have completed a bachelor’s degree. Some first gen students may have older siblings who have attended college. This virtual group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center and is hosted through a secure video platform.
