Have you completed your required prevention training? All EKU Students should have received an email from Vector Solutions with the trainings that are required. The trainings are titled: (1) Alcohol and Other Drugs; (2) Sexual Violence Awareness; and (3) Title IX Rights and Protections. The email from Vector is not spam. In accordance with state and Federal regulations, EKU has mandated training for all students for many years. You will automatically receive notice and access via email. Please complete all trainings in a timely manner. Vector Solutions' web-based training meets expectations communicated by the Department of Education, Office of Civil Rights, as well as the Campus SaVE Act and the Clery Act. Join Alpha Gamma Delta in our annual philanthropy volleyball tournament as we help strike out hunger! It will be held on September 25th starting at 10 am on the sand volleyball courts. In the event of bad weather- it will be moved inside the recreation center. For individuals wanting to support teams playing this year, the admission will be a can drive for God's Outreach in Richmond. Spectators can pay $3 to watch or bring 5 canned items.

The EKU McNair Scholars Program is an extracurricular graduate school prep program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. McNair is recruiting academically talented students aiming for doctoral degrees. Selected students begin this fall 2022 semester. Program activities include faculty mentoring, a fall colloquium, a spring research class, a paid summer research internship, presentations at national conferences, graduate admission test preparation, graduate school application support, graduate school application fee waivers, an EKU scholarship, and graduate level assistantships and fellowships at leading universities. Applicants must be first-generation students from low-income backgrounds and/or Black, Hispanic, American Indian or Pacific Islander. This group is for individuals that have been negatively impacted by growing up in an alcoholic, drug addicted or otherwise unpredictable family environment. Topics often discussed include understanding the impact of these family patterns, learning how to recognize and develop healthy relationships, and addressing negative beliefs about oneself. This is a weekly in-person group provided by the EKU Counseling Center. A group orientation is required to join this group.
