Wednesday, October 5th from 10 am to 2 pm, the Latinx Street Fair will take place at the Powell Plaza as part of the celebration of Latinx Heritage Month. If you want a table to showcase your culture, a fun game, or artifacts, please send a 50-100 word proposal describing your project (Latinx culture related) to sara.ricogodoy@eku.edu.
The deadline for submission will be Monday, October 3rd.

The Winter SWK 455 Elective provides an overview of the uniqueness of rural communities in relation to human services. We examine the intersectionality of social, environmental, political, and economic issues impacting life in rural areas across the United States. Similarities and differences with urban communities are examined. Students will gain familiarity with the history of rural community development and social issues relevant to rural Kentucky and Central Appalachia. Open to all majors. Asynchronous 6 weeks Dec 5 to Jan 13 with a holiday break. Grief is a normal and natural response to loss. It can also feel overwhelming, lonely, and complicated. Grief group is safe space to receive support, learn to cope, and to connect with other students who are also adjusting to the death of a friend, family member, or loved one. This weekly in-person group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center. A group orientation is required to join this group. Color Coded is a safe space for students of color to express and discuss personal experiences with other EKU students of color. The EKU R User Group meets the last Tuesday of every month from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. Fall 2022

November 15th The R User Group is a free activity open to everyone on campus. The purpose of this group is to build a community of people interested in using the programming language R.
