It’s time for our annual monetary and physical donation competition for the Colonel’s Cupboard! Last year’s donation drive was extremely successful, and we are excited to be able to host another drive to benefit the Colonel’s Cupboard. The Colonel’s Cupboard is a service of EKU's Student Life and First Year Experience Office that provides food and toiletries to currently enrolled students of the University (full or part-time) in need. Anyone can donate on their own, but consider joining together with your friends or organization for a donation competition! Last year, Colonel's Cupboard Virtual Food Drive donors contributed more than $12,000 to feed students in need! Will you join us to make an even bigger impact this month during our annual virtual campaign? Your gift will help us provide essential fresh foods like vegetables, fruits, and eggs. Will you make a gift today and help us reach our goal of 350 gifts before December 1? Every gift makes an impact. A $5 gift will provide five meals, so the support you provide will give relief to many students at EKU. The outdoors is a great place to spend time, but sometimes accidents happen. Learn how to manage basic first aid and sprains in a wilderness context in this fun workshop. Register at mycampusrec.eku.edu to attend!

Grief is a normal and natural response to loss. It can also feel overwhelming, lonely, and complicated. Grief group is safe space to receive support, learn to cope, and to connect with other students who are also adjusting to the death of a friend, family member, or loved one. This weekly in-person group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center. A group orientation is required to join this group. Color Coded is a safe space for students of color to express and discuss personal experiences with other EKU students of color. This discussion-based DROP-IN support group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center and meets weekly on Tuesdays from 2-3pm in Whitlock Building, Room 567.
