Colonels with Kids is hosting Cookies with Santa. This event is for ALL EKU student parents and their children. Bring the kids to campus for cookie decorating, a hot cocoa bar and a photo with the big man himself--SANTA! Located in the beautiful Turley House located on University Drive. The Interfraternity Council (IFC) which represents 14 of EKU’s recognized fraternities, is teaming up with the Department of Student Life and First Year Experience and with the Colonel’s Cupboard to offer a Free Thanksgiving Meal on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 11AM to 2PM in Powell 219 that will have all the traditional offerings of a Thanksgiving dinner and will be a sit down meal that provides the fellowship of other students. This program is specifically meant for those students who cannot or are, for some reason, unable, to go home for Thanksgiving. Also, if you need some food for the long weekend ahead, the Colonel’s Cupboard will be open for you to take food home with you. Event Date: November 22; 11AM to 2PM Location: Powell 219 Cost: Free

The EKU Guitar Studio (FB: "EKU Guitarstudio") will present a concert of acoustic and electric works (rock, jazz, classical, and contemporary literature) for the guitar on November 22, 7:30PM in Gifford Theater. Selections include seasonal holiday works (including rock versions of Carol of the Bells & Angels We have Heard on High), Halleluia by Jeff Buckley, Rock favorites by Joe Satriani and Steppenwolf, a Jazz-Fusion hit by Mike Stern and Blue Bossa (Pat Martino), and perennial classical favorites from Bach to Brouwer. The holidays, particularly for LGBTQ+ people, can be difficult. So, come join the last QT Connections event of Fall 2022: Friendsgiving! There will be an assortment of food (vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options) and drinks to enjoy while playing games, listening to music, chatting about the end of the semester, and plan ways to take care of ourselves over Winter break.

Grief is a normal and natural response to loss. It can also feel overwhelming, lonely, and complicated. Grief group is safe space to receive support, learn to cope, and to connect with other students who are also adjusting to the death of a friend, family member, or loved one.
This weekly in-person group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center. A group orientation is required to join this group. Contact Michalle Rice at michalle.rice@eku.edu or call (859)622-1303 for more information about scheduling a group orientation appointment.
