Integrate to Regulate is a group designed to promote healing for trauma survivors. This group incorporates specific, concrete skills combined with expressive arts to support the process of trauma integration. This is a weekly group provided by the EKU Counseling Center. Start from Now is a group to support those dealing with body image issues and/or disordered eating patterns through a blend of education and discussion. This is a weekly in-person group provided by the EKU Counseling Center. A group orientation is required to join this group. A student worker position is available to support the Talking Out of School monthly storytelling event. Responsibilities include a variety of administrative and marketing duties. Twenty hours each week are available, which may be distributed among several student workers depending on the candidates and their schedules, skills, and experiences. Pay is $10/hour. Join the EKU Counseling Center staff today for a workshop on Distress Tolerance. When life feels like you’re currently in the middle of an unfinished Jumanji game, your emotions can activate with a high degree of intensity. Changes in your daily routine and the people you’re around can lead to a mixture of emotions. These new experiences can be stressful. The tools provided in this workshop are aimed to provide you with skills to navigate these intense emotions and increase the positive experiences throughout your day.
