Join us for the EKU Food Security Forum as we start a campus-wide conversation about student food insecurity and hunger. All students, faculty, staff, and community members are welcome. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to attendees who RSVP. For clarification, this event was rescheduled from its original date due to the severe weather on Friday March 3.

This event takes place at Turley House on EKU's campus from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and is open to all members. Want to join in on the fun? Bring $15 with you to the event to sign up for CWK and get access to this event and more to come! Colonels with Kids is a newly formed RSO dedicated to connecting and supporting student-parents on campus. Any student that attends EKU and identifies as a parent is welcome to join! EKU students of all majors are welcome to volunteer at various times on Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25 for tasks related to EKU being the host location for the 21st Kentucky Science & Engineering Fair. Thank you letters can be sent to individuals, student orgs, or national offices recognizing philanthropy. Saturday volunteers receive a shirt and lunch. Volunteers are needed to number tables, post signage, do safety inspections of displays, support registration, distribute box lunches, support judges, and welcome guests. Fair volunteers not only get to support one of EKU top opportunities to showcase our campus, volunteers also get to see some of the work of Kentucky’s best and brightest students in grades 5-12. The 27th Annual Environmental Health Symposium is here! We have a lineup of speakers from USPHS, National Park Service, FDA, Bechtel, and Lockheed Martin ready to talk about their experiences and possible career opportunities for graduates. Students may attend for free, or pay $10 for a light breakfast and a lunch from the local restaurant Jackson’s! A raffle for EHS T-shirts/crewnecks will also be available at the end of the symposium. Join the staff of the EKU Counseling Center today for a workshop on Mindfulness. Being isolated in quarantine can lead to spending a lot of time on various activities that take your attention away from the present moment. Practicing mindfulness can be a great opportunity to improve your mental health by challenging yourself to be present and aware of your thoughts and feelings. In this workshop, you will learn tools that can help you practice mindfulness and work towards reducing and preventing stress, anxiety, depression, as well as many other concerns you may be experiencing.

Start from Now is a group to support those dealing with body image issues and/or disordered eating patterns through a blend of education and discussion. This is a weekly group provided by the EKU Counseling Center. A group orientation is required to join this group. Silent Coffee is a time for students, members of the Deaf community, and anyone interested in American Sign Language (ASL) to come together and practice ASL while building relationships and hanging out. Silent Coffee is a voice off event, however we encourage people with ANY level of proficiency in ASL to join us!
